The past few weeks, headlines have been appearing in our
annual parade of what’s next for our lives, and more
specifically 2013.
For the past 7 years, I’ve been accurately predicting big
turns in our structural dynamics. Hired by Billionaires in
2007 to help them understand the global economy as it relates
to USA structural dynamics, I helped them understand and make
millions in the collapse wave in Russia.
Earlier that year, I had predicted downturns driven by
structural problems in housing, energy, and even global trade.
Now how does a guy from a small town in Nebraska come up with
such bold predictions and understand what is driving the
global economy?
Simply? By Paying Attention, being opportunistic and being
insanely curious–and willing to back it up by traveling the
world to get first hand information about the structural
dynamics underlying movements in tectonic plates of patterns.
Now, it does help that I have a special gift and that is
pattern recognition.
While I’m not that smart, only being in the top 2% of the IQ
>130, what I can do is understand and assimilate patterns.
Because I’m curious, and willing to work 20 hours a day in
flow states, the patterns come easier for me than others
perhaps.
I have also had the good fortune of having access to great
clients who are on their own accelerating paths of development
and without a doubt, our communion provides unique
opportunities.
What does all of this mean to you?
BECAUSE I’m unwilling to follow conventional work habits,
refuse to "go to work" and travel extensively, setting up
bases in foreign countries for periods of time so I can learn
and be immersed in other cultures, I’m not a mainstream
person–at all.
Living an eclectic lifestyle has amazing advantages and often
tremendous disadvantages and I’ll be the first one to tell
you, I’m no financial expert of any sort–I’m a pattern
person–I study patterns…I see things, and because, as a
dominant intuitive the windows of my soul are open to these
patterns. I experience things different than most people.
So, everyday–all day long, I am playing with patterns.
In 2013, I’ve set some objectives because we all have to pay
the light bill, and over time, I’ve figured out how to make
money doing R&D @F-L-O-W. My path is clear and while
it’s not always easy to monetize these patterns, it does provide me
with a capability to bring into the light a variety of
interesting things happening in the world.
Of course, I miss a lot of them too.
After all, anyone who
pretends they can see through but a small aperture of reality
is full of beans anyway. THE KEY is to make sure you’re
looking in the right direction.
My work in patterns is centered in Leadership, because I am
one, unconventional for sure. I study leaders. I live and
breathe leadership, and I like working on hard problems, such
as the poverty cycle, one of my current pursuits here in the
Philippines.
What I am doing in 2013 is framing a leadership development
program for the online university I founded called Leadership
University. This program is designed for advanced development
of leaders looking to find an edge in their own development
using the tools I’ve created over a decade studying how adult
development, personality dynamics, and system dynamics form
patterns of development that are predictable, as well as
probable for leaders.
This path of development is interesting because it provides
the ground work, for the figure of leadership–you know, do
you see the old woman or the young woman–figure and ground
perception.
This leadership ground-work is not easy work for anyone, and
the R&D challenge is bigger than you might think. Which makes
this the kind of work that is important to me. I just finished
a decade long project to create a path-driven process for
shifting a paradigm @F-L-O-W, and the work I do in 2013 is
part of a project I have been working on since the late 90s
called Holorg–itself being a fractal of the work I have been
doing off and on with Dr. Don Beck, of Spiral Dynamics
Integral.
In short, with all that is going on right now, and my needs to
monetize my pattern work, I thought that by providing a
backdrop of this work, regular check-ins and a little coaching
thrown in, anything you are doing in your own "figure-work" is
going to be "grounded" through this R&D Experience with me and
my work.

But before you do, let me just approach you with this idea.
With the amount of noise that is going on in the world today,
would you perceive it as an advantage to hang out with someone
who has their fingers on the pulse of global circulation… who
can speak about almost any global topic with some degree of
knowledge as to how it might relate to your life?
